Hamsa Stainton is Associate Professor in the School of Religious Studies at McGill University (Montréal, Canada). He is the author of Poetry as Prayer in the Sanskrit Hymns of Kashmir (Oxford University Press, 2019) and co-editor of two volumes: Tantrapuṣpāñjali: Tantric Traditions and Philosophy of Kashmir; Studies in Memory of Pandit H.N. Chakravarty (IGNCA, 2018; with Bettina Sharada Bäumer), and Sanskrit Hymns Across Traditions: Studying Stotras (Routledge, 2026; with Anna Lee White). He is the Series Editor for the Muktabodha Translation Series with SUNY Press.
